Quick answers
Is there a difference between iPhone and Android?
Both open the same page. On iPhone, hold the top edge of the phone against the card with the screen on. On Android, turn NFC on in settings and hold the back of the phone, near the middle or top, against the card. The exact spot varies by model, so if nothing happens, slide the phone slowly over the card.
Do I need an app?
No. The card opens a normal web page in the phone's browser. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
Does the phone need internet?
Yes. The card holds only a link; the video is streamed from the web. Without a connection the page will not load. Try again on Wi-Fi or mobile data.
How long can the video be, and in what format?
Up to 60 seconds and 100 MB per video at launch (these limits may change). MP4 is the safest choice; MOV from an iPhone and WebM are also accepted. Landscape and portrait videos both work.
Is my video private?
By default, yes. Each card has its own unlisted link that search engines do not index, and the viewer page has no ads or tracking cookies. 'Unlisted' means anyone who has the card (or the link) can watch, so it is like a printed photograph that can be passed around. If a card is lost, contact us and we can disable it.
